As an introduction to Ms. Held's Clay Class, students worked on a mini-project the first 2.5 weeks of school. This project, Monster Tiles, taught the students the basic clay techniques they will need for the duration of the school year such as: wedging, slab-rolling, sculpting, carving, relief and stamping. This project also helped the students to find their way around the classroom, as well as learn to use all the tools and materials provide.
