The week of 9/11-9/15/17 Clay Class students began working on their introductory mini-project, Monster Tiles. Students learned how to roll slabs of clay, sculpt basic forms and add details using the techniques of carving, stamping and relief. This short project will prepare the students with the skills and the techniques needed for our first Unit: Food-Inspired Bowls, which we will begin the week of 9/25.
